AI Fundamentals

for Marketers

Cardiff | Virtual Online

Nearly 9 in 10 marketers now use AI in their day-to-day work — but most have had no proper training on it, and are relying on trial and error. This course closes that gap in a single day.

Go from unsure to confident with the AI tools already sitting on your desktop.

Marketing Tom has been training Cardiff and London marketers since 2008. This course takes the same practical, jargon-free approach and applies it to the tool that’s changed marketing faster than almost anything before it: AI. You’ll get hands-on with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Meta AI, learn how to write a prompt that actually works, and leave with a set of ready-to-use templates for the tasks you do every week. No coding, no jargon and no prior AI experience required.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this 1-day course you will:

  • Understand what AI actually is, in plain English — and what it can’t (yet) do
  • Know your way around the main AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Meta AI — and which to reach for
  • Be able to write a prompt that gets you a usable result first time, not your fifth attempt
  • Have a set of ready-to-use prompt templates for everyday marketing tasks
  • Understand the responsible-use essentials — data privacy, checking for errors, and when not to rely on AI

Who is the AI Fundamentals course aimed at?

This course is designed for marketers who are new to AI, or who use it occasionally without much confidence. It’s ideal for marketing assistants, junior executives, small business owners and generalists — no prior AI experience is assumed, and we start from first principles.

If you’re already using AI regularly and want to move from personal use to team strategy and governance, our AI in Marketing course is the natural next step after this one.
