As part of my own professional development(!!), I have been looking at some of the events that I should try and get to over the next 6 months or so. I have chosen them as I believe they will help give me a better undertstanding of both how web design and development is developing and as they will help me identify the tools that I should be using for the broad area of Digital Marketing and the more specialised area of Social Media Marketing.
In a nutshell the WordCamp Conferences are designed to talk about ‘everything WordPress’. This year’s UK WordCamp comes from Cardiff and features Matt Mullunweg and Mike Little, co-founders of WordPress. It’ll also give you the chance to do some serious networking with WordPress developers and users.

Went to Le Web last year and really enjoyed it. It’s basically a Digital Media event and this year could be better than last. Jack Dorsey of Twitter, Marissa Meyer of Google, Tony Tsieh of Zappos & Dave Morin of Facebook plus more.
