Search Engine Marketing – Site Content (Step 3)

This is one area which people pay don’t pay enough attention to on a Web page. The key thing to remember is this: “you must make sure that your site is both search engine and visitor friendly”.

This means that you should have information which is pleasing to read on the eye whilst, at the same time, helping you get up those search engine charts.

Content is a major factor in getting your site listed on the search engines. Just take a look at this table and you will see how many search engines pay attention to it:

Integrated Resource Management

The content element of search engine optimisation still requires that you pay careful attention to the search words that you are going to be using. You need to make sure that the words that you’re using in your content match those in your meta keywords and description and, as importantly, are reflected in your page title. This is an iterative process and may take some time to get right but will be well worth persevering with.

Where possible, you should try and make your content as targeted as possible – forget the ‘one size fits all’ mentality. It is important to remember that all pages of your Web site offer opportunities to promote your search words throughout the content/text.
